October 18th National Day of Action

Here is the schedule of the various events that are planned for the National Day of Action called by the PCR-RCP at the eve of the federal election. As the bourgeois parties will desperately try to convince the most to take part in their circus, we will instead affirm our commitment—which is totally different from an election promise!—for the next four years: waging class struggle against the capitalists and their state!

Hamilton Coalition Against Poverty endorses Campaign to Boycott the 2015 Federal Election!

In this election, the people only have a choice between which politician will oppress them, cut their benefits, and represent the exploitative capitalist class. Even the ones who present themselves as champions of the people are, in fact, pursuing plans that will harm the working class, especially its poorest and most oppressed sections.

It should be the goal of all progressive and revolutionary people to expose the lies of this rotten system with words as well as actions, and so we are happy to announce that Hamilton Coalition Against Poverty has endorsed the campaign to Boycott the 2015 Federal Election!  This campaign, initiated by the Revolutionary Communist Party, seeks to expose to the masses how bankrupt this electoral circus and phony “democracy” really are, and HCAP, who organise among the poor in Hamilton, are fed up with this system that can never meet the needs of the people nor represent their interests.

As the campaign draws to a close, the people’s movement is gaining momentum!

Boycott the Capitalist Elections! Fight for People’s Power!

Boycott the 2015 Federal Election – Day of Action in Hamilton

Sunday, October 18 at 2pm
King & James – Outside Jackson Square
Hamilton, ON

At the end of the longest—and probably most meaningless—election campaign in Canadian history, let’s make one thing clear: these election aren’t legitimate, and neither is the state that runs them!

Across the country, mobilizations for the Day of Action, called as part of the 2015 Election Boycott Campaign, will drive this message home on October 18th.

We know that, whether it’s an election year or not, we’ll be lied to by the politicians who serve the ruling class. We know that, no matter who we elect, the cops will be there to protect profit and property, even if it means clubbing you on the head or shooting you. And we know that, whether we vote in this sham election or not, this capitalist state will never be democratic.

What matters mos we build people’s power—for ourselves and against the property-owners who exploit us.

Join us for a rally and march to denounce the latest episode of the electoral circus and to start building that power.

See you in the streets!

Boycott the Capitalist Election: Scarborough Teach-in

Saturday, October 10 at 2pm
Albert Campbell Square
50 Borough Drive, Toronto

Join us on Saturday, October 10th, as the Revolutionary Student Movement prepares to launch its boycott campaign against the Canadian federal election. This event functions primarily as an open forum for discussing the campaign, but will also serve to help organize the upcoming National Boycott Day of Action on Sunday, October 18th.

At this event, representatives from the RSM will be holding a teach-in and answering questions from community members regarding the federal election, the principles behind an active boycott, and seeking alternatives to bourgeois politics. Some topics to be covered include answers to the following questions:

• What is the purpose of an active boycott?
• What’s wrong with the current system, and how can we change it?
• How does a boycott provide an alternative to the current system?
• And any other questions you may have.
